I share this honor with a lot of great people, including Andrew Anson, Tamara Greet, Michael Clements, Se Reed and many others.
In 2005, the Long Beach Jaycees was a moribund group that had lost what had contributed to its storied 75 year past in Long Beach–a connection with the civic life of the city.
Within a month of joining, I ran for Vice-President of Community Development and won. My goal was to bring the club back to its glory days by reconnecting with City leaders and becoming once again a breeding ground for young leaders.
Within 2006, we had taken old events (Bachelor Bid, Miss Long Beach Pageant, Children’s Shopping Spree), and given them a new twist. We also established new events (Mayor Bob Foster’s 100 Days luncheon, Neighborhood Invasion, Beer and Politics), that set us as a leader in the community.

Since then, the Long Beach Junior Chamber has reached even higher levels and prominence within the city, thanks to the game-changing transitions set in 2006.
Endorsements from Long Beach Junior Chamber members:
“Randy and I have worked together in several capacities. He has a strong belief in what he does whenever he gets involved with a project. Has very strong community ties and is focused on his goals. I would recommend Randy if you have a project that needs to be done in the political consulting arena.”
- Bart J. De Lio, Owner, ThatInsuranceGuy.com, former LB Jaycee Foundation President
“Randy Terrell is a tremendously knowledgeable and tireless consultant and I would heartily recommend him to anyone who values success, results, and a hard work ethic. For marketing and imaging, Randy should be part of your team.”
- Jim Lawson, KRLA Radio, Former Long Beach Jaycee President
“I am pleased and honored to recommend Randy Terrell for any position of responsibility in the areas of politics and political consulting. I have known Mr. Terrell for three years, having originally become acquainted with him through our mutual affiliation with the Long Beach Junior Chamber, where he served for a time on my Board of Directors. Mr. Terrell is a well-educated and extremely dedicated and conscientious person. He approaches all of his tasks, goals and initiatives with a strong work ethic, passion and an infectious positive attitude. Mr. Terrell has been deeply involved in and extremely passionate about all aspects of the local political world for many years, his step father having served as a Long Beach City Councilman and he, himself, having consulted on or led the campaigns for several local candidates and initiatives. Mr. Terrell’s talents in these areas were most recently self-evident when he successfully led the campaign to defeat a hotly contested taxation measure in Long Beach just last year. Despite the opposing campaign’s impressive support base, which included many predominant local and regional politicians and access to considerably greater campaign funding than Mr. Terrell enjoyed, Mr. Terrell’s efficient and effective political campaign prevailed and the measure was defeated. In summary I feel confident to endorse Mr. Terrell for any position of responsibility in the areas of politics and political consulting.”
- Tamara Kaye Greet, Past President Long Beach Junior Chamber (during this time in 2006)
